Mitra Energy Limited (Mitra) and BHP Billiton have today plugged and abandoned the 28-BDM-1X well as dry hole. The well was a second well of a two-well drilling campaign in the Blocks 28 & 29/03 PSC, offshore Vietnam. The first well, 29/03-HV-1X, was also plugged and abandoned as dry hole. Oil shows were reported in both wells.

The Blocks 28 & 29/03 PSC partnership comprises BHP Billiton, 50% (operator) and Mitra, 50%.
